Oliver Baer‘s poem, “87,” is included in the new anthology, Birds Fall Silent in the Mechanical Sea. Please join Baer, along with other anthology authors and publisher, Great Weather for MEDIA, at the book launch on September 25th at 61 Local in Brooklyn, NY. In August, Baer was featured in Tai Chi Club, a documentary about the Wu Tang Physical Culture Association, which was screened at the Big Apple Film Festival. He also read his poems for Improbable Confetti, an experimental and improvisational music show on Radio Free Brooklyn.
C.W. Briar, a new HWA-NY member, is proud to announce the recent release of the horror anthology, Other Tombs, Other Voices, which includes his story, “Can We Keep Him?” and features tales from Mercedes Yardley, Kealan Patrick Burke, Ania Ahlborn, Gemma Files, and more!
Elizabeth Crowens’ second book in the Time Traveler Professor series, The Time Traveler Professor, Book Two: A Pocketful of Lodestones, released in August, kicking off Crowens’ international book tour which hits Dublin, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and London, before crossing the Atlantic for the U.S. book launch at The Mysterious Bookshop in New York City on September 26th. Laura K. Curtis’s new Gothic ghost novel, A Darker Shade, releases on October 1, 2019. Kirkus Reviews calls it “An unnerving ghost story that’s grounded by persuasive characters and stirring melodrama.” Join Curtis on November 1st at the Poe Museum in Richmond, VA for tricks AND treats during History of the Gothic, a discussion of the evolution of the Gothic, followed by a reading from A Darker Shade and a book signing.
