Marc Abbott and Steven Van Patten explore the black-hand side of nerd culture with co-host, Kirk Johnson, in their new podcast Beef, Wine, & Shenanigans. From their Facebook page:

Marc Abbott also performed in the Queens Storytellers Online show, presented by Queens Theatre, earlier in May; and he was recently nominated for Best Actor in the Scene Festival for his performance in the short film Identity Check. Voting is open now!

Oliver Baer‘s poem “Untitled #50” is in the Spring/Summer 2020 issue of Infernal Ink Magazine. One of his poems is the basis for a new song, “Shattered Mirror World” by the band Psych-O-Positive, which can be found on Spotify. The band also created a video to go with the song on YouTube. In April, Baer featured live readings of his poetry for National Poetry Month on his Facebook page, where the recordings are still available for your enjoyment.

James Chambers is pleased to announce the return to print of the third volume in his Corpse Fauna novella series, The Dead in Their Masses, with the all-new bonus short story, “Passengers,” from eSpec Books.

JG Faherty is happy to announce that he’s just signed a contract with Flame Tree Press for his next novel, tentatively titled The Awakening, which involves demonic possession and poltergeists in a small New York town. This will be his third novel with Flame Tree Press (Sins of the Father comes out this summer) and his 8th novel overall.
Also, for the duration of the COVID-19 shutdowns, Faherty’s new novel, The Changeling, is available for only $0.99 on Kindle. This sci-fi superhero thriller, with cover art by Lynne Hansen, was released to give people something exciting, but inexpensive, to read while stuck at home.

Teel James Glenn is proud to announce the publication of his novel, Gaslight Magick, available now from Wild Wolf Publishing. A thrilling adventure in the world of the Pendragon Empire, Gaslight Magick asks, Would you go to hell to save the one you love?
Glenn also has a bounty of short fiction news! N.R. Lambert‘s new story, “Do Not Write to Wrong,” is included in Atthis Arts’ latest anthology, Community of Magic Pens, available wherever books are sold. Her story, “The Half-Life of a Broken Heart,” originally published by Factor Four Magazine, was featured in a new episode of Cast of Wonders, a speculative fiction podcast.

Steven Van Patten penned “BANDMATES” for an episode of Viral Vignettes, starring Maxwell Gail Jr. and John Schneider. The Viral Vignettes series is raising money for The Actor’s Fund. SVP has also been writing scripts for the animated series, Extra Credits, check out Patten’s episode, “The Rusalka,” and all the series episodes, on YouTube.

Thank you, James — I am healthy and productive, hammering out chapters for the new werewolf novel. Next time I get back to my hometown of NYC — I’m from the Bronx — when this pandemic is behind us, I’d love to join an in-person meeting of the New York Chapter!
