Oliver Baer‘s new book, Letters to the Editor of Cthulhu Sex Magazine, was released by Crossroad Press at the beginning of October. Baer notes it is available on Amazon and all those other places that one buys books in this virtual realm.

James Chambers has several new books out (or forthcoming), including
On the Night Border from Raw Dog Screaming Press (September 2019), which Booklist called, “…a haunting exploration of the space where the real world and nightmares collide.”

Randee Dawn and Michael A. Ventrella are the co-editors of Across the Universe, a new speculative fiction anthology published by Fantastic Books in early December 2019. The book tells SF/F and horror stories that ask the question, “What if The Beatles had been …?” and features 25 stories from authors including Jody Lynn Nye, Spider Robinson, Cat Rambo, Pat Cadigan, David Gerrold, Lawrence Watt-Evans, Gregory Frost, Carol Gyzander, and Gregory Benford, and features an introduction by Nancy Holder.

The latest from HWA-NY members…

A New York State of Fright is now available for pre-order from Hippocampus Press, Amazon.com, and Barnes & Noble. Celebrate with HWA-NY at the NYC Launch Party on August 4th, 2018.

Oliver Baer will be performing “A Conclave of Baer” at Sidewalk Cafe on August 14th.

Edward P. Cardillo‘s new novel, The Dark Is Full of Monsters, was recently published by J. Ellington Ashton Press.

Amy Grech‘s story “Fresh Finch,” was recently published Thriller Magazine, where she was also interviewed.

Teel James Glenn‘s Frontier Magick: The Weird Adventures of Decline Blayde will be serialized monthly by Pro Se Productions starting in August.

Jeff C. Stevenson‘s story, “The Shadow on the Ceiling,” has been published in Deadman’s Tome: The Conspiracy Issue.

Tonya Hurley co-hosts a new podcast series, Stories of Strange Women, which most recently interviews musician Amanda Palmer; Cassandra Peterson, a.k.a. Elvira, Mistress of the Dark; punk-legend Lydia Lunch; and Kate Pierson of the B-52s. You can find all the episodes online.

SUMMER DARK 2018

Thanks to April Grey, we’re excited to announce the HWA-NY SUMMER DARK reading series is returning for 2018, beginning on June 1st! Each evening will feature three of our chapter’s authors reading from their work at the Oasis Community Garden on West 52nd St. (between 10th and 11th Avenues), from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
