Steven Van Patten shares that if you happened to attend the HWA New York Chapter Summer Dark Oasis Garden Readings on June 28th, 2019, you might remember that member SVP actually sang a country song as part of his “Dead Man Country” reading. Assisted by guitar player Lane Sparber, the song explains how Rusty C. Nail came to be auditioning on an American Idol-type show. Well, after some assistance from members Marc Abbott (directing) and Kirk Johnson behind the scenes and Alp Beck, Teel James Glenn, and Denise Tapscott playing the judges, Steven was able to bring Mr. Nail to life. Look for the film on iTunes, Spotify, and anywhere else you enjoy music.
